Julian Meade joined the APUS adjunct faculty in April 2010 and teaches INTL401 - Critical Analysis, INTL402 - Intelligence Analysis, and INTL444 - Contemporary Intelligence Studies. He is also a full-time faculty member at the National Intelligence University (NIU) in Washington, DC since 2008, where he teaches in the Master of Science of Strategic Intelligence (MSSI) and Bachelor of Science in Intelligence programs.
He previously served on the NIU (then called the Joint Military Intelligence College) faculty as Superintendent of Undergraduate Programs from 2000 to 2004. Julian was also a training instructor in the Defense Intelligence Agency’s (DIA) Joint Military Intelligence Training Center, Analysis Training Branch.
Julian retired from the U.S. Air Force with over 21 years of active duty service, most of it in military intelligence. He is a veteran of OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM.
Julian holds a MSSI from the then Joint Military Intelligence College. He also holds master’s and bachelor’s degrees in political science from Auburn University at Montgomery (Alabama) and the University of Nebraska at Omaha, respectively.
