Biography - Robin L Moore

Robin Moore has a Bachelors of Science degree in Physical Education/Exercise Science from the University of New Hampshire, in addition to a Masters of Science degree in Health Fitness Management from The American University. Over the course of her career, Robin has experienced multiple facets of the health and wellness industry. Positions and accomplishments include:

- Human Resources and Benefits administration - Managed company-wide benefits for an internet technology company and administered all Human Resources functions, including staffing, legal compliance, payroll, position changes and employee benefits enrollment

- Program administration of the AAHPERD Physical Best program - Developed and implemented a national workshop and certification program for educators in the Physical Best K-12 health-related fitness education program, including budgeting, staffing, marketing, convention planning, workshop administration and policymaking

- Hospital-based health promotion - fully developed a hospital based community health education outreach program consisting of support groups, community screenings and seminars

- Managing commercial health clubs - began managing fitness programs and moved into overall club management focusing on programming, staffing, membership and facility management
Robin firmly believes in the value of quality education for leaders in the health and wellness fields. Improving the credibility of health and wellness professionals is a passion and a goal, and Robin feels that providing excellent instruction and feedback is the best way to share knowledge and enable students to apply this knowledge in real-life settings.

Robin enjoys spinning, working out and dance, and is very interested in organic nutrition and eco-friendly living. She lives in Charles Town, West Virginia, with her husband and two daughters. Robin feels fortunate to be joining APUS at this exciting time of growth and looks forward to working with the APUS staff and students.
