Biography - Steven J Gordon


Steve Gordon earned the B.A. (Geography) and B.S. (Environmental Science) degrees from Rutgers University-Cook College. He earned the M.A. and PhD in Geography from Arizona State University.

Steve is an Associate Professor at the United States Air Force Academy, where he has served on the faculty for over 10 years. His peers voted him the "Outstanding Academy Educator" for the 2000-2001 Academic Year and the 2010-2011 Geosciences Instructor of the Year. His research and teaching interests are in physical geography and geomorphology (weathering of basalts) and Geographic Information Systems.

Steve lives in Colorado Springs, CO with his wife and three dogs. He enjoys reading, camping, blues music, and plays guitar and bass in local bands during his down time.
