Sonya D. Ward has a number of years teaching on-line and on-ground undergraduate and graduate adult learners with Delta Community College, and a number of online universities. Her subject areas include college success and human resource management. Ms. Ward has developed a Prior Learning Assessment program for the University of Louisiana Monroe and facilitates faculty and staff workshops throughout North Louisiana. She is currently certified as a general and master Prior Learning Assessor with the Center for Adult Learning (CAEL).
Ms. Ward earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems from Mercer University. She earned a Master of Human Resource Management from Troy University. She is currently a doctoral student specializing in Adult Education, Instructional Technology and Sociology with the University of Southern Mississippi.
Ms. Ward currently resides in Brandon, Mississippi. Her favorite hobby is reading and she is the President and founder of Books and Beignets (BAB) Book Club with branches in Monroe, Louisiana and Jackson, Mississippi.
