Biography - Jeffrey Shirkey

I earned my B.A. and M.A. in Religious Studies from Indiana University, Bloomington, and my Ph.D. in History of Religions from The University of Chicago. My areas of interest include the study of South Asian Buddhism, as well as theory and methods in the study of religion.

I am a Florida native now living in Northwest Indiana. I have been married 15 years, and I have a 3 1/2 year old daughter, three cats, and one very spoiled English Springer Spaniel named Sassafras.

I am an avid collector of music, and I play guitar every free moment I can get.
