Hello, my name is Elizabeth Legault. Please feel free to call me Liza! I was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. I currently reside in Haverhill, Massachusetts.
I received my B.S. in Early Childhood Education and five years later I received an M.A. in Elementary Education from Salem State College. I am currently enrolled in a Middle School Math Program for another M.A offered through Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
For the past seventeen years I have been working as a teacher for the Haverhill Public School System in Haverhill, Massachusetts. I started my professional career teaching third grade for thirteen years. For the past three years, I primarily teach Social Studies and Math to sixth grade students. I have been teaching Child Development at University of Phoenix for almost a year and College Mathematics at V.C.O for about 10 months. Each experience provides me different and challenging opportunities and allows me as an instructor to demonstrate my dedication, creativity and enthusiasm for my subject and students.
On a personal note, I live with my husband, two Siamese cats, and a year old Golden Retriever. My husband and I are expecting our first child in November! I really love to travel to places with warm weather, beautiful beaches, and clear, blue water. My ideal vacation is to lie on the beach all day and read mystery books. I’m very lucky that my husband is a teacher too so we can travel together during summers and school vacations. Some of my favorite places that we have traveled to are Spain, Ibiza, Portugal, Australia, many places in the Caribbean, and the Fiji islands.
I also have a love for coaching girls at the high school level (although I no longer coach at this time). My favorite food is steak and potatoes and my favorite color is light blue (the color that reminds me of the water you would see in the Caribbean).
My passion is working with people of all ages and facilitating the learning process! I look forward to sharing the knowledge and skills that I have learned about teaching with you.
I’m excited to meet all of you!
