Kara Teague earned her master's in environmental science from the University of South Florida, and her thesis focused on fire ecology of pines. She went on to work for the Southwest Florida Water Management District where she assisted with research of stormwater.
Kara attended the University of West Florida in Pensacola, Florida, where she majored in Environmental Studies. After college, she worked for the Escambia County Environmental Compliance Department. After that, she worked at Gulf Power Company in the environmental section monitoring water bodies utilized by three power plants. She has had work experience in public, private, and academic sectors.
Kara loves spending time with her family, reading, gardening, and camping.
