Biography - Robert W Behan


Professor Robert Behan completed his Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, NY, a Masters in Public Administration from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY, and a graduate of the 241st Session of the FBI National Academy. Professor Behan is also a New York State certified police instructor.

Professor Behan started his law enforcement carrier with the New York City Police Department working in East Harlem. He currently works for the Town of Carmel Police Department in Mahopac, NY.

In addition to his law enforcement carrier, he has over 18 years experience as a volunteer fire fighter and emergency medical technician. For the past seven years, he has been elected as Chairman of the Board of Fire Commissioners.
He enjoys running and has completed multiple half marathons and one marathon. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters.
