Mr. Finch was born in Washington, D.C. and lived in the area for 24 years.
Mr. Finch attended Loyola College in Maryland, graduating with a degree in English Literature in 1992. While at Loyola, he played rugby and toured Europe playing against students from a variety of countries. After college, Mr. Finch employed himself as a bicycle messenger in Washington, D.C.
While trying to get a career in writing off the ground, Mr. Finch moved to Seattle, Washington in search of a fresh perspective and new opportunities. After just six months in Seattle, Mr. Finch moved to Charleston, South Carolina in 1995 to join a college friend in running a weekly newspaper focusing on local arts and entertainment.
A year later, Mr. Finch's career took a radical shift to improv comedy. Joining a group called The Have Nots!, he travelled the continent entertaining at colleges, clubs and theatres. After touring for many years, Mr.Finch and the rest of the group opened Theatre 99 in Charleston in 2000.
Six years later, Mr. Finch entered Charleston School of Law to pursue another career path. While in law school, he garnered many awards and accolades including Chief Justice of the Moot Court Board, The Arthur G. Howe Award for Trial Advocacy, The CALI Award for Excellence in Property Studies, and the Dean's list. He also served on numerous student-faculty boards.
While still performing, Mr. Finch graduated from Charleston School of Law Cum Laude in 2009 and is currently practicing law.
Mr. Finch resides in Charleston, SC with his wife, son and their dog.
