Linda Rhoades-Swartz is Faculty member for APUS. Linda holds numerous degrees; a Master of Arts degree in Diplomacy from Norwich University; Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education/Social Studies with a minor in Political Science from Bloomsburg University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Susquehanna University.
Ms. Rhoades-Swartz teaches History of Peacekeeping I and II with APUS as well as a World Civilization course and various other courses. She also teaches a World Civilization course and American History course as an adjunct faculty member with two other online universities.
In the past, Ms. Rhoades-Swartz taught a variety of history courses as a Visiting Lecturer with Susquehanna University. These courses included Latin American History 1492 to 1825, Latin American History 1825 to Present and European History 800 to 1648. She was an adjunct faculty member with Pennsylvania College of Technology where she taught World Civilizations.
Ms. Rhoades-Swartz has taught various online high school Social Studies Courses; she has rewritten courses and aligned courses to various state standards for a nationally known online high school. She participated in the rewriting of an interactive Online Modern World History text with many instructors. This interactive textbook was release in the Fall 2009, her contribution were the chapters on The Americas under Imperialism and Muslim Empires, Rise and Decline. She is currently writing an Online Interactive American History Textbook which will be ready for release for the Fall of 2011.
Linda has many interests including her family, reading, politics as well as traveling.
