Biography - Angela M Cranon-Charles


My name is Angela Cranon-Charles. I hold a MA in Political Science from California State University , Long Beach (CSULB), and a BA in Journalism from San Diego State University (SDSU), a Professional Designation Journalism Certificate from the University of California , Los Angeles (UCLA), and a State of California Commission on Teacher Credentialing certification.

I have been an instructor since 1998 teaching a variety of courses such as Political Science, Written Communications, English, Oral Communications, History, and other elective courses.

Over the past 30 years, I have worked as a journalist for television, radio and the print media industry as a reporter/anchor. I have covered a variety of political stories and figures, general news, and features. Currently, I am the owner and publisher of Hollywood Scriptwriter Magazine (www.hollywoodscriptwriter.com), an international trade publication for screenwriters, producers and directors.

For the past 18 years, I have also served as the Executive Managing Editor for Lovick Career Journal, a nationwide employment publication. I have worked for media outlets such as ABC, CBS, Financial News Network, Scripps-Howard, and other major television and print mediums. My background also includes extensive online and in-the-classroom learning instruction, public speaking, hosting political forums and debates, and other talk show formats.
