Kimberly A Jacobs

Professor Kimberly Jacobs earned her MA in Adult and Higher Education at University of Texas at San Antonio. She earned a BA in Writing and Literature, as well as Secondary Education, at State University of New York at Potsdam. Kim has also completed additional coursework with California State University and Colorado University. Kim is currently working toward her PhD in Postsecondary and Adult Education through Capella University. Professor Jacobs joined the American Public University System (then American Military University) in 1998. While serving as Department Head of General Education until 2001, she was instrumental in developing the University’s writing and literature curricula, in addition to developing, designing, and counseling students in Academic and Career Planning. Today Kim is serving as Program Director for art, music, and literature courses at APUS. Prior to APUS, Kim taught for Jefferson Community College in Watertown, New York, at the institution's main campus and on Fort Drum.
