Biography - Michael F Botta


Professor Botta is a former Special Agent with the Department of Homeland Security. He has served as a Federal Agent for over twenty years, with the DEA, US Customs and the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force(JTTF). Professor Botta received a BS in Administration of Justice from the University of Pittsburgh and a MS, University of Pittsburgh, from the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs(GSPIA)with a discipline in Intelligence and National Security.

He has lectured extensively to US corporations in Operation Shield America, from 2000 through 2003,on the risks of American technology being stolen by unfriendly nations and/or terrorist organizations. Professor Botta has been vetted by the US State Department to teach counterterrorism to African nations, specifically, Chad and Ethiopia.

Professor Botta is the main lecturer for the New York HIDA(High Intensity Drug Area)in Intelligence and Narco Terrorism. He is a full time Professor at Point Park University, in Pittsburgh,PA, in the College of Arts and Science, Intelligence and National Security undergraduate program, a program which he helped design.
