Biography - Anthony T Plana


Tony Plana is a Senior Analyst and Executive Officer to the Director, National Intelligence Coordination Center, Office of the Director of National Intelligence. Prior to his current position, he worked as a program manager and senior analyst in various national security organizations.
Tony retired from the US Army after 22 years as a Human Resources specialist and Northeast Asia Foreign Area Officer. He lived in Japan for almost nine years serving as an Operational Plans Specialist, Liaison Officer, Host Nation Affairs Officer, and Military Attache at the US Embassy, Tokyo.
Tony earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Broad Field Social Science and Secondary Education from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and a Master of Arts in East Asian Studies from the University of Hawaii. He is also a graduate of the Japanese Language programs at the Defense Language Institute, Presidio of Monterey, the University of Hawaii, and the Department of State Foreign Service Institute, Yokohama, Japan. Tony also attended the Joint Military Attache Course - Defense Intelligence Agency, Bolling Air Force Base.
