Michelle Royal earned a bachelor's of arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in International Relations and Italian (1995). She also earned a master's degree in Security Policy Studies (1997) and an MBA (2003), both from The George Washington University.
Michelle has worked in the national security field for fourteen years. Her career has included work for the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security, as well as the FBI. She is currently a homeland security consultant. She previously served as Senior Director for Strategic Planning at SAIC, specializing in capability requirements for future warfare and response to catastrophic domestic incidents. While at the FBI, she served as an Intelligence Research Specialist in a counterintelligence division at HQ.
Michelle lives in Tulsa, OK with her husband, 10 month old daughter, and 2 dogs. Her interests include watching professional football and minor league baseball, quilting, reading, and volunteering in her community.
