Biography - Craig H Gilman

In addition to teaching COLL100 I am currently working full-time with the Military Outreach Team of APUS. Until recently I was a secondary, social studies teacher who taught at international schools in Asia and public schools in Virginia. Prior to that I spent five years as an officer of Marine Corps infantry.

I have a Master of Arts in International Relations and a Master of Science in Education, both from Old Dominion University. I attended West Virginia University where I earned a B.S. in administration. While at WVU I played my trumpet in the marching and pep bands and have been an avid WVU football and basketball fan ever since. I grew up on the Jersey shore.

My current hobbies include kayak fishing, scuba diving, hiking and the outdoors, following international relations, and spending time with good people. Having recently moved to the beauty of northern Virginia, I miss the beach, but am happy to be able to continue teaching and look forward to working with you all. Life is good.
