Kimberly V Cheiken

Mrs. Cheiken received her Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania. She currently does independent legal research and writing, most recently co-authoring the 2009 update to Bohr's Social Security Issues Annotated. She also assisted the writing of Winning Appeals Council Arguments, Fourth Edition and Eleventh Circuit Social Security Cases. Mrs. Cheiken also works in marketing, accounting and personnel management for a medical practice. Having a husband and two teenage children, she devotes a good deal of her time to her family and community. Mrs. Cheiken sits on the Advisory Board of her city’s Children’s Chorus, having been an officer of its Board of Directors previously. Additionally, she has been involved with public and private school organizations, as well as with the American Cancer Society and Habitat for Humanity, to name a few. Previously, Mrs. Cheiken had legal experiences in both a public defender’s office in Missouri and as an assistant prosecutor in New Jersey. In addition to writing motions and briefs and having day-to-day trials in various capacities, Mrs. Cheiken had the opportunity to argue a case before a panel of the New Jersey Supreme Court. Mrs. Cheiken's other legal experience includes practicing social security disability law in the Sixth Circuit.
