Tammy Lynn Woody is the Director of Education Internships and Certification at APUS. She is a full time employee and works closely with the Dean of the School of Education. In her previous life, she was an elementary guidance counselor and still retains an inordinate fondness for puppets, sand trays and silly putty. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology at James Madison University. Her masters degree in counseling is from West Virginia University; she is currently a doctoral candidate in the Curriculum and Instruction program at WVU. She serves as the Vice President of a local tri-county counselors' association and serves on the board of the Virginia Counselors Association (VCA). Between working on her dissertation, professional duties, teaching, and part time work at a local winery, she has very little free time. She hopes to continue growing and developing as a life-long educator and student.
