Clifton  Pingrey

Professor Tod Pingrey is a Retired Army Space Operation Officer. Professor Pingrey is a graduate of South Dakota State University with a BS in History (1992) and American Military University (2004) with a MS in Space Studies. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1983 as a Medic. During his 4 and half years in the Air Force he was stationed in Texas, Portugal, and the Philippines. In 1992 he was commissioned through ROTC as a Quartermaster officer. After completing tours with 4th Infantry Division and 10th Mountain were he commander HQ/ Alpha Company for SFOR 6 in Bosnia, he then served as a POW/MIA recover leader with recoveries in Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, and Papa New Guinea. Professor Pingrey deployed to Iraq in 2005 as an Army Space Support Team Leader for XVIII Airborne Corps in Support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Upon his return, he was assigned to the National Security Space Institute. He had many job while assigned to the NSSI including, Course Director and Instructor for Space Fundamentals Course, Space Operations Course Mobile, and Space Fundamentals Course Distance learning. Currently Professor Pingrey is an Alion contract employee supporting the NSSI's Space Power Lab. He is married to Becky and has 6 children, Alexandrea 17, Kailynn 12, Patrick 10, Janessa 8, Nathan 7, and Duke 3
