Leigh holds a BA in Psychology from Mercy College in New York, an MS in Human Development, from Long Island University in New York and an MS in Clinical Social Work from Columbia University in the City of New York. Leigh teaches courses in the areas of Psychology, Family Systems and Development, Family Counseling and Sociology. Leigh’s career in emergency psychiatry and clinical social work spanned 20 years, during which she held various positions, including Unit Chief of a Mobile Psychiatric Crisis team, prior to her retirement in 2004. Leigh also maintains a private clinical practice. She has often consulted with various agencies teaching groups from teens to management personnel. Leigh enjoys traveling with her husband, spending winters in sunny Florida, watching movies, and shooting pool. She has two daughters, both of whom have completed their college educations and are living on their own.
