Stephen R Schwalbe

Dr Steve Schwalbe retired from the Air Force in 2007 as a colonel after 30 years of active duty service. His last Air Force assignment was as a professor of International Studies at the Air War College. He was the Director of the Regional Studies program for four years, and participated as a trip director or assistant for five (2002-2007). He completed his tour as the Associate Dean of AWC Distance Learning. He currently teaches online graduate courses for American Military University, Argosy University, and for Air University.

He has a Bachelor of Science degree from the Air Force Academy; a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Golden Gate University; a Master’s degree from the Naval Postgraduate School; a Master’s degree from the Naval War College; an ABD from The George Washington University; and, a PhD from Auburn University in Public Policy (2006). During his Air Force career, he served as Assistant Defense Intelligence Officer for the Middle East and Terrorism; DoD IG Inspection Director, Air Attache to Korea; Air Attache to Jordan; and Chief of the Air Force Military Assistance Program in Jordan.
