Throughout a successful 35-year career as an award-winning writer, editor and magazine publisher, David Premo maintained a parallel track as an adjunct lecturer. In 2003, he transitioned to full time writing, speaking, and teaching. David developed an understanding of academic governance as the first adjunct elected to the Southern New Hampshire University faculty senate. The same institution named David distance educator of the year in 2006 and his peers nominated him for Teacher of Excellence consideration.
In online education, David has done course development and revisions at St. Joseph’s College of Maine, Southern New Hampshire University and Kaplan University. He served as a faculty coach, quality auditor, and conducted faculty workshops at Grand Canyon University. David is a faculty mentor and sits on the ethics committee of the University of Phoenix.
Throughout his career, David served both his profession and his community. He has been an officer and director of the American Medical Writers’ Association and the American Association of Business Press Editors, and co-chaired a committee of the American Business Press. He was a director of Downeast Horizons and a trustee of the Monadnock Area Transitional Shelter, both humanitarian philanthropies. Currently, he is on the advisory council of the Monadnock Volunteer Center.
Each summer performs Shakespeare in the Park with the Peterborough Actor’s Circle.
David and his wife, Jean, have homes in Peterborough, NH and Hilton Head, SC.
