Biography - Patrick R Jennings


Dr. Patrick R. Jennings is a 1985 graduate of the University of the State of New York and holds an M.A. from the University of Oklahoma and a Ph.D. from Loyola University, Chicago. Dr. Jennings was formerly the Director and Curator of the Mitchell Museum of the American Indian and worked as an historian for the U.S. National Park Service. As a former United States Marine and Army National Guardsman he has extensive operational experience in a variety of overseas locations including Europe, the South Pacific, Afghanistan, and Iraq. Prior to joining American Military University he served as an Army field historian at Ground Zero in New York and as a combat historian in Afghanistan (2002) and Iraq (2003 and 2006).
