Mr. Musa has over 22 years experience in the Information Technology, Information Assurance and Systems Engineering fields. Currently, he serves as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) where he directs the day to day operations of the Information Security, Systems Assurance, Configuration Management and Privacy teams. Mr. Musa serves as a senior Information Security and Critical Infrastructure Protection advisor to the CIO and the Commission's senior management. Prior to his tenure at FERC, Mr. Musa served as an independent consultant for the Department of Homeland Security in the area of Border Security with the Secure Border Initiative (SBInet) Program. He served as the Head of IT for Organizational Strategies Inc. Mr. Musa supported various large scale programs with the DoD and Federal civilians Agencies.
Mr. Musa received his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from George Mason University and earned his Master’s Degree in Systems Engineering Management from the George Washington University. Mr. Musa is pursuing his Doctorate in System Engineering at the George Washington University.
