Biography - Shawn M. Powers


Shawn M. Powers is a retired U.S. Army First Sergeant and spent over 15 years in Special Forces. He received a bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts specializing in management and sociology from Excelsior College and a master's in Business Organizational Security Management from Webster University graduating with honors. He is currently working on his Ph.D. in Applied Management and Decision Sciences Leadership and Organizational Change through Walden University. He currently serves as an Acquisition Support Specialist for Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and Chemical, Biological, Radiological, nuclear and
Explosive weapons (CBRNE) Alternative Technologies for the United States Army Special Operations Command (Airborne) (USASOC) at Fort Bragg, NC. He has 15 years operational experience serving in U.S. Army Special Forces, assigned to numerous Special Forces units that operates within the United States European Command to support the U.S. Commander Europe, Special Operations Command Europe, and U.S. Army Special Operations Command through no-notice crisis response and intervention in order to support and carry out special operations missions directed by the President, Secretary of Defense and EUCOM Commander in order to promote strategic and national policy objectives. Shawn has been married to his beautiful wife Leticia for the past 21 years and has two wonderful kids, one girl who is married to a firefighter and a son who just started his senior year in high school.
