
Robert earned his Bachelors of Arts degree in History from Excelsior College and holds a Masters of Arts in Strategic Intelligence (Terrorism Studies) from American Military University. He is a retired Air Force NCO with 17 years of intelligence experience and has served in a variety of positions including a Flight Superintendent, a North Korean analyst for U.S. Forces Korea, and an Academics Instructor for F-15E and F-16 student pilots. He has also provided intelligence support to A-10, F-15E, F-16, HH-60G, and KC-135 aircrews, served in Operations Desert Shield/Desert Storm and deployed to Kosovo in support of HUMINT operations. Following his retirement in 2005, Robert began working for the Department of Homeland Security specializing in formation sharing between the Intelligence Community, DHS Components, and State and Local offices. His research interests include intelligence studies, the Cold War, and military forces of the DPRK and PRC. Outside of work, he enjoys mountain biking, paintball, camping, and football. Robert has been married for 25 years and has two sons.
