Learn About Bryan

BA in Homeland SecuritySchool of Security & Global Studies
MS in Cybersecurity | School of Science, Technology, Engineering & Math

In 1998 when Bryan was a boy, the American Embassy in Nairobi, Kenya, was bombed by terrorists. The explosion killed 247 Kenyans, 21 foreign nationals, and 12 U.S. citizens.

That’s when he first realized that he wanted to be able to fight the bad guys. When he first arrived in America, he worked three jobs then decided to enroll at APU because he could take classes online.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity and immediately decided to get his master’s in cybersecurity, too.

How He Did it

College Readiness

Bryan enrolled in college but it was hard to keep up while doing three jobs.

Getting Started

He discovered that APU was a leader in online education with no set login times.

Flexibility

Bryan realized he could study online anytime which didn’t interrupt his work.
You can be at work the whole day, but at the same time, you’re a student at APU. I see myself getting close, closer to my dream. I see myself making a difference in the world.
