Concurrent Admission
The American Public University System provides the opportunity for qualified high school students to enroll in courses at the 100 and 200 level. Students who meet all eligibility requirements for concurrent enrollment cannot matriculate into a degree program but may be admitted as Undergraduate Courses for Transfer students. The courses may be used as transfer credit or, upon graduation from high school, the student may submit the required documentation to be granted admission into a degree program and credits earned may be used toward an APUS degree program.
The high school student must complete the standard application for admission as Undergraduate Courses for Transfer.*
To qualify for concurrent enrollment a high school student must provide:
- A high school transcript or official letter from the principal or guidance counselor verifying junior or senior standing and high school GPA of 3.0 or better or its equivalent.
- Written permission from a parent or legal guardian.
*Students will follow all APUS policies applicable to undergraduates as listed in the Admissions Requirements section of this handbook
