APUS covers the cost of all textbooks and course materials for undergraduate students through the Undergraduate Book Grant. This grant is extended throughout an undergraduate student's active enrollment. All undergraduate students are awarded this grant upon admission with the expectation that students will successfully complete their course(s) each semester. Textbooks are shipped from MBS Direct to students after tuition payment or tuition assistance form has been received. Textbooks for continuing students who are stationed overseas are shipped upon registration to ensure timely receipt prior to class start. Undergraduate students who receive the course textbooks at no cost and subsequently drop or withdraw from a course (for any reason) are responsible for returning course materials. Please refer to the Student Handbook for complete information on returning course materials issued via the APUS Book Grant.
Some courses use electronic course materials which are available in the APUS Online Library, the electronic classroom, or elsewhere as identified by the course instructor.
Please note that books are not provided for students who are auditing courses. Audit students may obtain textbooks through MBS Direct or another bookstore of their choice.
